At Opt2Restore Dr. Uwadiae believes every home should empower recovery— by combining clinical expertise with customized thoughtful design.

Clinical Expertise in Healthcare

With over 13+ years of clinical experience, she has treated patients across the continuum of care— from ICU and acute care to inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient therapy and home healthcare. Her journey began at Montefiore Hospital where she gained deep expertise in complex medical rehabilitation and continued through Catholic Home Care, refining her passion for restoring mobility and independence in home settings.

Dr. Uwadiae specializes in clinical home modifications and accessibility design, helping individuals and families to create safe, functional and dignified environments that promote long-term independence, safety and quality of life.

A Lifelong Passion for Healing and Collaboration

Raised in a family of healthcare professionals — spanning nursing, medicine, and care coordination— Dr. Uwadiae developed an early appreciation for the power of interdisciplinary collaboration in promoting dignity and independence. Born and raised in Bayside, Queens, she began working as a physical therapy aide at Professional Orthopedic & Sports Physical Therapy in Whitestone during her early high school years. Her passion for rehabilitation continued through college and into her doctoral education, shaping a lifelong dedication to restoring wellness through movement, education, and compassion.

Educational Background

Dr. Uwadiae holds a Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences with a concentration in Physical Therapy and earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from the New York Institute of Technology (NYIT). Her decision to pursue physical therapy was grounded in a strong belief in its transformative role within healthcare—offering patients a clear path to recovery through function, mobility, and empowermen

Dr. Uwadiae is deeply involved in her local community in Hewlett, where she resides with her family. She actively volunteers as a PTA class mom and serves as treasurer for the Special Education PTA (SEPTA), reflecting her dedication to supporting families, inclusive education, and community programs. Her service underscores her belief that empathy, connection, and purpose are vital in every aspect of life.
