Empowering Wellness and Independence Through Rehabilitation & Design

Dr. Uwadiae believes every home should support recovery— combining clinical expertise with thoughtful, individualized home-safety and accessibility planning. 

Clinical Expertise in Healthcare

With 13+ years of clinical experience across ICU, acute care to inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient therapy and home health. She brings deep expertise in complex medical rehabilitation and home-based recovery. She provides rehabilitation – led comprehensive home safety and accessibility assessments, helping individuals and families create safe, functional and dignified environments that support long term independence.

A Lifelong Passion for Healing and Collaboration

Raised in a family of healthcare professionals, Dr. Uwadiae developed an early appreciation for interdisciplinary care. Born and raised in Bayside, Queens, she began working as a physical therapy aide at Professional Orthopedic & Sports Physical Therapy in Whitestone during her early high school years- an experience that shaped her lifelong dedication to restoring wellness through movement education and compassion. 

Educational Background

Dr. Uwadiae holds a Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences with a concentration in Physical Therapy and earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from the New York Institute of Technology (NYIT).

Clinical Practice: Restoring Function and Independence

Through Opt Physical Therapy Rehabilitation PLLC, Dr. Uwadiae provides licensed mobile physical therapy services focused restoring function and supporting adults with orthopedic, neurological, cardiac, oncologic, and chronic conditions.

Wellness & Consulting: The Opt2Restore Approach

Her wellness-forward division, Opt2Restore, offers a range of preventive and lifestyle enhancing services, including:

  • Home safety consulting and aging-in-place planning
  • Community reintegration and recovery support
  • Ergonomic assessments for home and workplace
  • Virtual recovery coaching, telehealth consultations
  • Comprehensive wellness programs for individuals, families, caregivers and employers.
  • This branch of her practice empowers clients to live safely, confidently and independently in their chosen environments.

Dr. Uwadiae is deeply involved in her local community in Hewlett Woodmere community, supporting families and inclusive programs through local volunteer leadership and service. Her service underscores her belief that empathy, connection, and purpose are vital in every aspect of life.
