General Questions
How does mobile physical and occupational therapy work?
Mobile PT/OT brings care directly to you—whether at home, work, or another convenient location. Learn more about our in-home physical therapy services and how we personalize treatment plans for each patient.
Do I need a doctor’s referral?
In New York, you can see a physical therapist without a referral for the first 10 visits or 30 days under Direct Access. After that, Medicare and some insurance plans may require a physician’s order. If needed, Opt2Restore can coordinate with your physician to ensure a smooth start to your care.
What areas do you serve?
For aging-in-place consulting and home modification services, Opt2Restore serves Nassau County, Suffolk County, and New York City. In-home outpatient rehabilitation services are currently provided within select Nassau County communities through Opt Physical Therapy Rehabilitation, PLLC.
Medicare & Insurance
Do you accept Medicare?
Physical therapy services are provided through Opt Physical Therapy Rehabilitation, PLLC, a Medicare Part B provider.
Opt2Restore LLC provides expert consulting, safety assessments, and aging-in-place services that are private pay and not billed to Medicare.
What if Medicare doesn’t cover my therapy needs?
If Medicare does not cover the services you need, private-pay options may still be available through Opt2Restore for wellness support, home safety planning, aging-in-place guidance, and related non-billable services.

Cash Pay Questions
Why would I pay cash if I have insurance?
Insurance-based physical and occupational therapy often includes limits on visit frequencies, session lengths, and covered services.
Private-pay services through Opt2Restore provide:
- Longer, more personalized sessions
- Customized wellness, safety, and performance programs beyond basic rehabilitation
- Care guided by individual needs rather than insurance restrictions
These services are designed to support long-term function, independence, and quality of life.
Can I use HSA/FSA funds for PT/OT?
In many cases, HSA or FSA funds may be used for eligible health-related services. You should confirm with your plan administrator for specific coverage rules.
